Video above - In the days of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade the Europeans built a series of fortified trading posts & castles along the coast of West Africa.

Due being once the main shipping centre of Slaves from West Africa, Ghana has the largest "collection" of those slave trading forts and castles. Cape Coast in Ghana's Central region. There were restrictions of the use of video, so this is mainly a slide show of still images. In the days of British colonialism, Cape Coast was the capital, before government was shifted to Accra. Filmed in April 2013.
