The Fante and Ga tribes and kingdoms of today Ghana, were stark involved in the Slave Trade. Slaves came mainly from the northern parts of today Ghana.

Cape Coast Castle is just one of many castles, along the Gold Coast. It is beside Elmina Castle the oldest "trading" post, erected by European powers, abducting millions of Africans into slavery, to US, Brazil and the Caribbean.
The Slave Trade made British banks, British businesses rich.
Little has been given back.
