The castle’s opening hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. (Eastern included)

Entrance fees usually change every 2 - 3 years, due changes in exchange rates to Ghana Cedi.

As with all museums in Ghana, foreign visitor will have to pay more, than local, Ghanaian visitors.

Entrance fees are as follows:

  • Visitor Category    Entrance Fee*
  • Pupils from Primary to JHS 3    GH¢  1
  • SHS Students    GH¢  2
  • Tertiary Students with ID    GH¢  3.00
  • Ghanaian Adults    GH¢  5.00 
  • Foreign Children    GH¢  5.00 
  • Foreign Students with ID    USD  4.00 or its equivalent in Ghana cedis
  • Adult Foreigners    USD  7.00 or its equivalent in Ghana cedis
  • Private photography & video permission included, but not within the museum exhibition
  • Commercial video permission(s) from GH¢ 600 - GH¢6000
